| Called to order at 12:05 by Linda Labor, President - 16 members present Socials for month of March are as follows: May 11th - Applebee's May 18th - Old World Restaurant in North Port May 25th - Beef O'Brady's June 1st - Chili's These dates will be posted on the website. Yale will be attending a CERT instructors meeting on Monday, May 8th. Possible scheduling for month of June. 2 nights per week from 7-9pm. Katie will be sending e-mails to members about committing to CERT training. There will be a deadline for signing up. Katie confirmed with LaVerne that the NAPA discount is still available and will be 10%. An ID card will be available for all paid members at the June meeting. Upcoming Events Tellico Trip - May 10th - 14th (Murphy, NC. See Jim) Jeep Beach - May 19th - 21st (Daytona Beach - Linda has applications) Ride with Caloosa - Memorial Day Weekend (Possibly in Brooksville) Possible CERT Training in June Fort Pierce - July Joint campout/canoeing trip with Caloosa - July July, August and September will be impromptu rides due to weather October will be Jeeptoberfest in Ocala Plantation Show and Shine - November Christmas Party - December *****Suggestions are being taken for the June ride on Father's Day.***** Suggested that we have future joint rides with Suncoast Flatlanders, Fort Pierce and Ocala Jeep Clubs. Katie presented possible day trips: Train Tours Horse Camp/Hay Ride Florida Aquarium Sea World Busch Gardens Avon Park Rick gave the treasurer's report Rick also suggested a donation be made for the fire victims in Lehigh. Linda suggested 10% of the club funds to the local Red Cross. All in favor. Brent has been writing to political offices about the land use for off road riding. Dan Stewart from Caloosa Jeep Club forwarded an e-mail to Linda about Lee County officials wanting us to prove we don't tear up the land. Kevin Way and Jim Wolcott checking into more local trails.
